I will prophesy Your promise. I believe You, God

I absolutely love this song, “Prophesy Your Promise” by Bryan & Katie Torwalt. It was an unexpected love, as I didn’t even know they had a new album out or anything. My friend Natalie sent me a link to the YouTube video to check it out. Immediately, the lyrics resonated with my fight for my own promises from God.

Beautiful flowers with prophesy your promise written on them

As I listened my heart melted. I’ve been in a season of waiting. And waiting. And, some more waiting. My husband and I are believing God for a child. We tried fertility treatments but they didn’t work. I even overcame my fear of shots and giving blood because I had to do it so much. But still, no baby in our arms.

Dealing with loss

Most of you know that we lost our sweet baby, our first pregnancy, to miscarriage in 2018 at 10.5 weeks. We were almost there! We were preparing to tell everyone our news. But, it ended in heartbreak. I thought FOR SURE that we would conceive again quickly. In the middle of my grief, I cried out to God. Not in a good way, like oh I trust You so much. It was more of a messy, confused cry of despair, “Where are You Lord? You said we would have a baby!! I’m coming up on my 43rd birthday.” It wasn’t pretty, but Jesus just held me and my grief in His arms.

Worship is such a powerful way to enter into the presence of God. It is in His presence that you can hear His voice. I heard a preacher say once that every time a person is in the presence of God, they receive a healing of some sort. This really resonated with me. Imagine as you worship that you are being healed on some level. It’s what’s really happening, and it is powerful.

Watch the giants fall

I’ll tell you this. When I heard this song, the depression I had been fighting since my miscarriage began to lift. It was this one verse in particular that stood out. I heard it so clearly, “Watch the giants fall.” My spirit lit up! Holy Spirit was speaking directly to my heart. I knew deep in my heart in that moment that my husband and I would watch the giants fall. I didn’t know how, but I knew I had just been given a kingdom key into my future.

Bryan and Katie Torwalt

I want to take a quick minute to thank the artists. This song was written by Mack Brock, Katie Torwalt, and Bryan Torwalt. Thank you Mack, Katie, and Bryan for this song. It pulled me out of my own mess of emotions and loss. You are changing lives. I love this song and I believe in encouraging others every step of the way, so I wanted to share my experience here on my blog. All of you are moving mountains in people’s hearts with your obedience to His call on your lives. My life is living proof! I so appreciate the anointing and the encouragement this song releases.

Prophesy Your Promise Lyrics

I love to read the words of a new worship song. I’ll let them sink in my heart and fill me up. Here are the lyrics…

I found You in the middle of my mess
You had been there all along
Open arms and open heart,
You called me in
You didn’t hesitate at all

And the lies I once believed
They crumble
With the weight of Your truth
And the fear that gripped my heart
Is arrested
So that I can see You

When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
‘Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God

You set a table in the middle of my war
You knew the outcome of it all
When what I faced looked like it would never end
You said, watch the giants fall

And the lies I once believed
They crumble
With the weight of Your truth
And the fear that gripped my heart
Is arrested
So that I can see You

When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
‘Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God

When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
‘Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God

Fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
God, I belong to You

Fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
God, I belong to You

Fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
I belong to You

Fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
I belong to You
I belong

When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
‘Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You

When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
‘Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God
