The latest version of the Isaiah Song from Maverick City Music is absolutely amazing and filled with Holy Spirit anointing. During my fertility journey, which was an extreme time of personal growth, my friend texted me this new song and I was so incredibly blessed.
The Isaiah Song is based on much of the book of Isaiah in the Old Testament but I can see direct references to Isaiah 43 and Isaiah 54. Inspiring Lyrics
The lyrics, “What was a barren season, is giving birth right now!” were so inspiring to my heart during this season of my life. It made my spirit leap with renewed faith. I could feel that God was doing a new thing in my life. God had promised me that I would have a baby so many years ago. As the years went on, my fertility journey seemed dead in my own eyes.
I had been crying out, “O Lord, I need you now.” I was calling on the name of the Lord and praying with cries of distress asking Him why my dream for a baby had not yet happened. I knew that Jesus Christ Himself had sent me this song through my friend.
My prayer is that you will be encouraged too as you listen to the Isaiah Song. Let’s watch the former things fall away as He does a new thing in our hearts. We are all in need of God and I believe this worship song will help you to feel that He is near.
Powerful Prayer Night
One of my dear friends, Kaay, planned this powerful prayer night where her and three other phenomenal women of God were joining forces to pray for me to conceive AGAIN. At the time, I had experienced three miscarriages in a row and was yet to bring forth my child into the world. Kaay has interceded and faithfully prayed for me since my husband and I started trying to conceive. This particular prayer night was scheduled four weeks before but had to be canceled due to some unforeseen circumstances. We did not let the incident sway us and we planned to reschedule as soon as possible.
Each of these women was a gentle servant of the Lord. I felt like they were going to the ends of the earth to pray with me and travail for my child to come forth. I cannot put into words the incredible gratefulness that I felt in my heart. One of these special prayer warriors was traveling several hours from another state to pray for me because of her particular anointing to intercede for women who are called to bear children.
Getting Ready
As I’m getting ready to drive to Kaay’s house I receive this text from my faithful friend Sarah who is also believing for her baby to come forth. We were on our fertility journey together both believing for Lord Jesus to open our wombs and give us each a baby. Of all times and places in the whole world, this is when I received the text from Sarah. Here’s the actual text:
“Have you heard this yet?”
I clicked the link and started to listen to the “Isaiah Song.” And then another text:
“What’s been a barren season is giving birth right now!”
WOW!! I texted her back saying how encouraged I was. I let her know that this was God’s perfect timing because I was literally on my way to pray over this very thing. I listened to the song on my 25-minute drive and felt Lord Jesus was repeatedly confirming to me that the barren season is OVER! God’s words in Isaiah 54 were coming alive in my heart through this song.
Seen and Known
I got to Kaay’s house and we began to pray before the Lord. As they prayed, my heart began to hope again. Thoughts of my fourth pregnancy being the one that goes full term were filling my heart. I felt like God’s servant who was finally seeing a change in circumstances.
I could feel the bubbling up of joy, expectation, faith, and peace as we prayed. It was a project of love being poured out into my life. At this point, I stopped relying on my own sight and placed my full trust in Jesus Christ. I had been quoting scripture over my life daily, speaking of God’s faithfulness, and now I felt the Lord God coming through for me. It was a divine moment.
I felt seen and known by Father God with just the fact that these women were moving their schedules to make this prayer meeting happen. We were standing on God’s word and the good news that Jesus answers prayer no matter what hurdles we face. These faithful women of God held me up in my time of weariness. We prayed together for hours.
Giving Birth Right Now
I’ve been singing this “Isaiah Song” over my life ever since Sarah texted it to me. I keep repeating the lyrics, ‘What’s been a barren season IS GIVING BIRTH RIGHT NOW.” And, I encourage you to sing it over your life too! As God’s witness, let’s believe together that the barren places in our lives will now bear fruit in Jesus’ Name.

As I believed for my miracle, I sang the lyrics of the Isaiah Song over my life with deep reflection. I imagined Lord Jesus holding my future in His hands. I knew I was in need of God and if He did not come through my dream to have a baby would not happen. So, when I sang, “water is coming to the thirsty” I felt it deep in my spirit.
I could feel Father God speaking directly to me through this song as I heard, “Though you are empty, I am the well. Draw from Me, I will provide.” I hope you are encouraged by the new thing God is doing in you as you listen.

I encourage you to listen to the “Isaiah Song” with an expectant heart. Absorb each word of the lyrics in your spirit, feel the music, and let Jesus speak to your heart. God is moving and He wants you to be a part of it. He’s doing a new thing!

Baby Update
Jesus faithfully answered our fertility prayers for my baby. My cries of distress were heard by Jesus Christ and He answered so beautifully. I am in awe of the majesty of the Lord. He has never failed to come through for me. You can read the entire miraculous story here.
